I shot this photo of Sen. Cory Booker as he spoke to a gathering of about 100 people at a South Carolina senior center August 6. I thought this was a particularly expressive shot as Booker responded to young Elijah Lawson, who asked what he would do to make schools safe from shootings.
""We are going to take the fight to the NRA," said Booker. "As your president, this is not going to be a secondary priority for me. We are going to end this nightmare in this country so no child in America has to ask that question again."
