Trump's Version of Ordeal by Water

When women, or men were suspected of being witches in the 16th and 17th centuries, they were subjected to ordeal by water.

The theory was that if the accused witch was thrown into a body of water, they would sink if innocent or float if guilty of witchcraft. Floaters had renounced baptism, which made them lighter, in order to enter the Devil’s service

Even though Evangelical Christians think Donald Trump walks on water, we all know that he would just lie there and float. Either he is heavily indebted to the Devil or he’s full of hot air. Maybe both.

Trump must be in league with the Devil otherwise, how to explain his sick and twisted administration’s new COVID-19 strategy to spread the coronavirus through herd immunity with the goal of infecting young people. Young people who would carry it to millions of at-risk people across the country.

In August Trump claimed that children are immune to the virus. Now, with no vaccine coming before November 3, the idea of “let’s get them all exposed and see what happens” is an acceptable alternative.

Except it isn’t.

Not to the millions of “healthy” Americans who may experience severe, long-term complications when exposed to the virus. Not to millions of seniors in assisted living or nursing homes. Not to the millions of people who comply with the guidelines and are still afraid every time they have to go out in public. And especially not those who are tired of the ignorance and blatant disregard for human life from Donald Trump, his GOP enablers and his disgusting followers.

Pro-life my eye!

The unbelievable hypocrisy, though, is his supporters who say wearing a mask violates their rights. But Americans being openly exposed to a deadly virus by these same people isn’t violating our rights?

Our right to life is protected under the Constitution; your right to be reckless and brainless is not.

Ordeal by COVID-19

When Donald Trump left Walter Reed hospital after getting “cured” of COVID-19, he wanted to show how strong he was by ripping open his shirt to reveal a Superman t-shirt underneath. Fortunately, he was talked out of that little stunt.

Trump’s attitude to his “quick recovery” from the virus has only encouraged him to openly flaunt the still recommended guidelines from scientists that social distancing, hand washing and wearing a mask will keep the virus from spreading and will still be needed even after we get a vaccine.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, an ardent Trump supporter, even went so far as to wipe his nose with his hand before slapping high fives at a Trump rally.

Ew!

Encouraging the spread of the virus to see who survives and who doesn’t is Trump’s modern-day ordeal by water test. Except now, it’s how will you respond when exposed to COVID-19? If you are willing to put yourself in harm’s way, as he claims he did, then you are a true Trump supporter and you will not get sick or will get a mild case. Anyone who gets really sick can be considered a never Trumper and it’s OK for them to end up on a ventilator or worse, because they would deserve it.

It’s too bad we can’t communicate with the over 215,000 dead Americans to find out who they would have voted for this year.

Ordeal by Water on November 3

On our current path with the Trump do nothing plan, the United States is expected to hit over 400,000 deaths by the end of 2020.

It’s a shame Donald Trump did not get really sick from COVID-19, if he actually had it. Although if he had ended up on a ventilator it would not have changed his mind. He would have seen it as being even more strong and powerful with a “look at me, I defeated death, I am invincible” attitude.

Unfortunately, Trump will continue this plan through the rest of his tenure, including any transition period.

It may be too late for the people who have died or will die between now and the end of the year, but it isn’t too late to make a change in the White House for 2021 to prevent even more death and destruction across America.

Donald Trump is in for his own ordeal by water on November 3. Except he won’t be thrown into a body of water, he will be thoroughly drenched under the Blue Tsunami.
